Luggage Carts and Hallways

My life is an interesting one all right.  Things just happen to me!  Haha.  But most of my experiences are rather humorous.  I think one of my most favorite memories is something that happened to me in Nauvoo this summer.  Yes, Aunt MaryEllen, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about!  Story time!

We took a family vacation to Nauvoo, IL this summer to visit my aunt and uncle, Linda and Steve, who were serving a mission.  We took Grandma and Grandpa, and MaryEllen came along with us.  So basically, it was just a big party the whole time.

My whole life, I've always wanted to ride a luggage cart through the halls of our hotels.  But Mom and Dad never let us.  Haha.  Wonder why!  Well, I found out this time around.  Devin, Aunt MaryEllen, and I went down to the lobby to get the luggage cart, and we were in the elevator going up to our room.  I was bored, so I sat down.  MaryEllen sat down with me.  We got to our floor, and I was planning on getting off, but then realized that this could be a fun ride.  So we were like, "Push us Devin!"  Our room was at the very end of the hall, so it was a long, straight shot.

This was the funnest ride of my life!  It's like a makeshift Disneyland ride!  We were laughing the whole time hanging on for dear life.  We started twisting this way and that ever so slightly, the rush of stale hotel hallway breeze running through our hair.  Well, we were getting to the end, and we weren't slowing down.  So we get there, and Devin whips us around to stop us.  Well, this is the end result.

But that's not the end.  We were laying on the ground like this for literally 10 minutes.  Once we were finally able to catch our breath, we looked at each other and burst into laughter again.  Mom heard noise, opened the door, and said, "I don't even want to know," and shut it.  So we laugh even harder!  Then, this random lady comes walking down the hallway.  She stops and stares at us, says, "I wish I had my camera!" and keeps walking.  By this time, our faces are super red and we can't even catch our breath.

We finally went in the room and finish packing, but still, every time we looked at each other, the endless giggles erupted once again.  I still can't help but laugh every time I see this picture or even just think about it.  So thanks MaryEllen for a great memory and bonding moment!  And thanks to Devin for helping this dream come true!
